So, its more like 29 for 30. I am SO super bummed that I messed up on the second to last day of November! Seriously! It's the blog-o-day month! And I messed it up! Such a bummer. This is my second post for today, so maybe that will count and make up for yesterday.
Here is what I was gonna post yesterday ('sept *someone* hogged the computer all night!)
Tuesday's Ten!
Ten things that are great about my week of medical problem:
1) Food lots of times during the day!
2) Pills that need to be given with food every 12 hours
3) Pills that need to be given with food every 8 hours
4) 2 pills with breakfast
5) my 8 hour pill with a snack around 2
6) my 12 hour pill with dinner
7) my last 8 hour pill with a snack before bed.
8) food 4 times per day! That's 4!
9) knowing that Dagan isn't getting fed like me!
10) Thinking... thinking... Hey wait! Almost time for bed! Gotta go get my pill! (and snack!)

The Ups and Downs of Sunday
Yesterday was a mixed bag!
Started good: Foleyand Lester were still here to play.
(Scooter and Foley playing tug with a person)
It continued good. I got to visit my church friends and take a little nap. I only got shaken out of my snoring once during the sermon - so that's pretty good.
(Scooter sleeping at church)
Then my peeps took me to some Off the Grid place to look at some trucks. The trucks gave my peeps food and made them happy.
(Scooter in front of a food truck)
Then, the good continued and we took a walk. Mom said I was a rockstar. But, I say I was a hole in one!
(Scooter sitting in a large hole cut out in a tree trunk)
All good, right?? But that's where it ended!
Next came some concern about a growing bump on my belly. It started small and grew real fast and hurt my belly! I did some crying and moaning. There was lots of discussion about it, then mama decided I needed a trip to the vet.
I waited patiently in the waiting room.
(Scooter's profile as he sat in the waiting room)
Then I had to wait in a room. But at least I got to cuddle with mama some there.
(Scooter squished between legs, his butt rolled under in a full slouch)
(Scooter lying on the exam room floor looking up at the camera)
The vet looked. And poked. And prodded. Not sure what The Thing is (I won't post pics - it would scare you away! Plus, its in a ehem delicate location and I don't post puppy porn) maybe a bug bite? Maybe an infected hair follicle? Maybe I was abducted by aliens and they implanted me with a tracking chip??
I'm going with the alien theory. Why else would I end up with a satellite dish on my head?!?
(Scooter on his bed, wearing his e-collar)
The aliens are making me tired! Time for another nap. Hopefully today will have more ups than downs.

Black Friday!
I know it's Saturday, but Black Friday started yesterday around here. Most people think of this when they hear "Black Friday"
(Scooter sitting in a shoe store in front of stacks of shoes)
But THIS is what Black Friday is at my house! All the black boys hanging out together! Yippy! Foley came to visit, to add to our black blur.
Foley and I shared some down time on my hammock
(Foley down and Scoot sitting on the dog hammock)
And meal times are always fun!
(Foley, Dagan and Scoot watching their breakfast be made)
Too much watching leads to this though:
(drool drips on the floor)
Here is more of our blur
(a blur of black dogs wrestling)
While the people eat, we did the inspecting
(three black butts under the table)
But we sure are cute when we try to be.
(Foley, Dagan and Scooter sitting)
We even had a little gold thrown in for good measure
(Golden Lester under the table)
(Leater and Scoot sniffing around the yard)
Yup, Black Friday is good around here! But it leaves me SO sleepy!

Big Boy Ride
I'm riding like a big boy! Some day, I will graduate to the whole back and even be able to share the back with Dagan. But, for now, when it's just me, I get half the back! Woo hoo!
(Scooter standing in the back of the suv next to the crate)
This is what I see when I ride like this

Youch!
It's been a rough day! I broke my toof! One of the big pointy ones! My dad and I were playing this morning and my toof got caught on his ring. He pulled and I pulled and my toof broke right in two! Then, I swallowed it! Ick!
(Scooter waiting at the vet)
Luckily, it's one of my baby toofs and not one of my new big boy teef. But, because it broke, I had to go visit my doctor today. She said "Ouch!!" She felt so bad for me that she did something ah-mazing!! She gave me a CET chew! Holy Moses! Sooo awesome! Dagan gets them all the time, but I never do. Until today!! Score! I chewed and chewed and chewed and chewed. Doc said she wanted to see if using my toof hurt me. She was super happy with all my gnawing.
(Scooter watching the exam room door, waiting for the vet)
I have to take some medicine to take to keep it from getting infected. And we will have to make some decisions about when it gets taken out, cause she doesn't think my big toof will come in right with the broken one in the way.
So that's been my day, full of ick and excitement.
Hopefully, my toof stays
Not hurty, cause I hear that tomorrow is all about food!
Time to take my medicine. Blech!

53.4
53.4 pounds! That's how much I weighed before getting soaking wet today. And how did I get wet, you ask?? Not. My. Fault.
Someone made me climb the stairs of doom! And this is where I ended up.
(Scooter in the tub at the dog wash)
Um... Yeah. Who signed me up for this?? Not. Me. After the wet came the soap. Then came the wet again. Then the towel.
(Scooter with a pink towel over his head)
Pink is not my color people! This is a much better method of drying!
(completely blurred Scooter mid shake)
Hey! This is a pretty good way too!
Better drying!
Now I stink and my fur feels funny. But mama's happy.
(Scooter clean and sorta dry)

The Day of Rest and Lots of Pics!
Today, after going to church, we have had a day of rest. We've napped, and hung out as a family and built a dresser. And then, I napped some more! A Good day! Wanna know why I need a day of rest!??! A BUSY weekend!
Friday night, after I had some play time with Dagan and Katra, we went to play poker. Dagan had his girlfriend over, so they stayed home.
(Scooter and Dagan making a Katra Oreo)
Since I don't have thumbs to help hold the cards, I didn't get to play. So, I hung out with some of my 2-foot friends and showed them how to chew on bones. Mom said I was supposed to be her lucky charm, but I thought playing sounded like more fun. Turns out, she didn't need me as a lucky charm - she did ok on her own. AND, since it was a charity event, we raised a bunch of money to help some families have a great Christmas.
(Scooter by his blanket and bones, lying on the feet of his buddy Jim)
As you know, Saturday, we started the day with more playing with Katra and Dagan. Then, we loaded up and headed to graduation. But, you didn't see any pictures of me and my sister! I'm a whole lot bigger than her, so lots of people think she is younger than I am. Or I am older than her. Or something.
(Scooter and Sandy sitting outside the gift shop at GDB)
But, after graduation, my real education started. Mom and Dad jumped in the car and I took a nap (it was super cold at graduation and I thought I was going to shiver myself to death!) I got out of the car in the big parking lot. And started walking. And walking. We went to this big building called IKEA. Holy Moly! What a trip! Boy was I tired when I came home from that one! Don't tell Mama, but I was so sleepy that I sneaked up on the couch for a snooze. Shhh! Don't tell!
(Scooter on the couch, head on a polka dotted pillow, paw holding on to the pillow)
So, after church, it was all about rest! I chewed on some bones and knocked out a loose tooth. After lots of clean up, My bone and I took a nap.
(Scooter sleeping with his bloody bone)
Post nap, I had to help build the dressed that we got at IKEA. Here's how I helped!
(Scooter sitting on top of the box) There was lots of screwing in stuff and putting pieces together. I'm glad I could be helpful! Now, after being so helpful, I need lots of sleep! please ignore the snoring!
Night!

Happy Graduation Ned and Hestia!!
OK, I'm saying Happy Graduation, but really - I don't know this Ned guy! Dagan said that Ned is his brother-from-another-mother, whatever that means. I hear this Ned guy was in our puppy club before I came around. But, the people were excited to see me (Duh! I'm super cute!) Not that being cute saved me from sitting on the hard cold ground throughout the ceremony.
Now Miss Hestia I know! She comes to our puppy meetings and is Sandy's big dog. She is going to be a mama dog next year. I hope Sandy and I get to play with the babies! Most mama dogs don't get to go back to their raiser's homes to live. But, we live close enough to campus, so she got to come home.
(Hestia and her family)
A whole bunch of my puppy group was there today to see the dogs graduate. That was super cool! Mama loved that so many came out to support our friends! Here is most of our group that was at graduation.
But, do you see that hard ground that I had to sit on? Not the lush green grass, where I could cuddle with people. And not Auntie Kerri's lap, where Sandy is sitting! (She gets to do that stuff just cause she's little! Don't these people know that my brain is just as little as hers?? It's only my body that is twice the size!)
(Scooter being carried by John, while Scoot tries to lick his face)
Now that is better! Dad can keep me warm and make sure that my poor buttocks are off the hard ground. Thanks Dad!

Fridays are for friends!
Yippy!! How much fun is this?? Mom and I got home from work today and guess who was there?? Dagan's girlfriend Katra came over! Aren't they cute??
(Dagan and Katea sitting on the porch)
We got to do some running in the yard and some playing with each other. Then, when we were settling down a little we had to sit still for Mom and that stupid camera.
(Scooter Katra and Dagan sitting in their doggy Oreo)
It was SO hard to sit still so long!
(Dagan lying behind Scooter and Katra)
SO many pictures were taken! I think I need a guide dog now! I finally gave up and tried to get some play time in.
(Dagan and Katra in downs and Scooter lying belly up enticing Katra to play)
That's better!
Off to play!!

Who's Your Daddy??
Well, let's be serious. I don't know much about your dad. So, let's talk about MY daddy! I don't know a whole lot about my daddy. He's kinda the "love 'em and leave 'em" type of guy. But, I got a picture of my daddy the other day. Marino was staying at GDB and my friend took a picture for me.
(Marino lying down in the kennel)
Like me, daddy tends to turn his head when the flash goes off. What do ya think?! Do we look alike??
(Scooter in profile)
I think I have his nose.
But mama is working in getting me to look at the camera. She says I am too cute not to. I'm getting better! But it is so hard sometimes!
(Scooter in the car, looking at the camera with his chocolate brown eyes)
Since it makes mama happy, I will try. Time to spread my cuteness!
